A new Face

If you are a returning user you will have probably noticed the brand new interface to the NMPDR. The new menu structure and layout of the pages have been redesigned for a sleeker, cleaner interface. We have finished the integration of the Genome Viewer into the site. All the tools, searching, comparison and visualization capabilities are now available within the NMPDR.

This includes the new graphical Genome Browser which enables you to visualize genomic information in a six-frame view while mining the underlying data. A new FigFam page has also been included, giving you access to our protein families while examining their chromosomal context. As with all our data items, the FigFams are closely linked to the rest of our . This includes links to lists of genomes including the family, available structures and more.

We hope that the redesign effort will increase the accessibility of our data and tools. If you would like to give us feedback on what you like or dislike about the new design, feel free to tell us at info@nmpdr.org.
