A New Face
If you are a returning user you will have probably noticed the brand new interface to the NMPDR. The new menu structure and layout of the pages have been redesigned for a sleeker, cleaner interface. We have finished the integration of the Genome Viewer into the site. All the tools, searching, comparison and visualization capabilities are now available within the NMPDR. This includes the new graphical Genome Browser which enables you to visualize genomic information in a six-frame view while mining the underlying data. A new FigFam page has also been included, giving you access to our protein families while examining their chromosomal context. As with all our data items, the FigFams are closely linked to the rest of our . This includes links to lists of genomes including the family, available structures and more. We hope that the redesign effort will increase the accessibility of our data and tools. Notice to NMPDR Users - The NMPDR BRC contract has ended and bacterial data from NMPDR has been transferred to PATRIC (http://www.patricbrc.org), a new consolidated BRC for all NIAID category A-C priority pathogenic bacteria. NMPDR was a collaboration among researchers from the Computation Institute of the University of Chicago, the Fellowship for Interpretation of Genomes (FIG), Argonne National Laboratory, and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois. NMPDR is funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract HHSN266200400042C.
