Bruce Parrello has been working with Ross Overbeek on and off for over thirty years. He did his dissertation on the use of normal forms for symbolic algebra manipulation. The technology he developed was subsequently used in the Lotus 1-2-3 Solver engine. He remains one of the top ten authorities in that field. Unfortunately, it only has five paying jobs.

Most of Bruce's career has been spent developing databases, ranging from a very practical one for tracking products through an automated assembly plant to a very esoteric one that did probability analysis for collectible dice. More recently, he developed the technology for the Linkfest Haven blog promotion site. He remains active in the blogging community.

Bruce has been on the NMPDR project since the fall of 2004. In his spare time, he answers the phone for his four teenage daughters.
