December 2008 Updates
The December 2008 version of the NMPDR contains several general improvements.- The Glossary includes more examples and interactive forms. For example, the entry on Gram Stains includes a list of all the gram-negative and gram-positive organisms in the Sprout Database, and the entry on Bidirectional Best Hits contains a form that will allow you to enter a gene ID and see its BBHs.
- You can now view your search results in an interactive table. The interactive table provides features for filtering and sorting the results, and you can add and remove columns of information from the table.
- Our article on How to Annotate a Genome now includes examples and diagrams.
- A new article explains the inner workings of our Entity-Relationship Database system.

Notice to NMPDR Users - The NMPDR BRC contract has ended and bacterial data from NMPDR has been transferred to PATRIC (http://www.patricbrc.org), a new consolidated BRC for all NIAID category A-C priority pathogenic bacteria. NMPDR was a collaboration among researchers from the Computation Institute of the University of Chicago, the Fellowship for Interpretation of Genomes (FIG), Argonne National Laboratory, and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois. NMPDR is funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract HHSN266200400042C.
